Councilor Hearthgar is highly eccentric. He speaks in cryptic metaphors, makes jokes not even his people understand, and often sends his apprentices out on mysterious errands only to complain when he can’t find them. Everyone in Neo Terra knows Hearthgar is obsessed with ancient relics and that the easiest way to get out of trouble in Old Home is to simply offer Hearthgar a relic, or something that can pass for a relic. What no one else knows, however, is that Hearthgar secretly trades with a mysterious civilization far across the eastern sea. They have seduced him with technological wonders beyond his wildest dreams in order to gain a political foothold in Neo Terra.
